Carbon Art steps into the windsurfing world spotlight in 2017, welcoming Omar Sanchez (E33) and joining the PWA World Tour.
The windsurfing world will see a whole lot more of Carbon Art in 2017; with Carbon Art having become a PWA Corporate Member, and Pozo local Omar Sanchez competing on Carbon Art waveboards in the Pro Wave division.
With Carbon Art now available around the world through distributors in Japan, Russia, and Europe (as well as New Zealand of course!), Carbon Art shaper James Dinnis says the time is right to get the CA board range competing on the international stage.
Omar finished the 2016 PWA wave season ranked 21st and with Carbon Art’s support he is confident of improving on this result in 2017. He will be making all the 2017 PWA wavesailing events and is aiming for his best overall result yet. Omar’s positive and proactive approach, combined with his love of windsurfing have made him a perfect match for Carbon Art.
Long term planning is underway towards having a full Carbon Art team competing on the PWA, in Slalom, Wave and Freestyle, with new board ranges to be released throughout 2017. Otherwise the goal is the same as always – to constantly lift the level of board performance and have windsurfers everywhere ‘feel the rush’.
‘I saw the Carbon Art boards and thought they had great shapes. After speaking with James it was easy to make the decision to join the CA team. James has a lot of experience so it’s great for me because he can build some amazing boards for the season.’

‘We’re excited to be a part of the Pro tour and getting our boards into the hands (and under the feet!) of some of the best riders out there.’
